Apostle Praise Kambula is the founder and the senior pastor of I AM global ministries, which is currently based at Hatfield in Pretoria, South Africa. She is an ordained Apostle, who is also called as a Prophet, Preacher and Teacher of the Word. In a small lounge of her apartment, God birthed her ministry before an audience of only two mighty women.
Determined to persevere and win the test of faith, for full two years, she held whole night prayer services at her place with only six people. At 20h00 every Friday night, they would meet without fail to share the Word of God and make fervent and faith-filled prayers that ended on the following morning around 06h00. It was on the third year when the Lord started to increase their numbers, and the ministry began to move from apartment to houses and from houses to bigger and better venues.
Mama Praise (as she is now passionately called) is a testimony of a Spirit-taught and Spirit-led servant of God. No man on earth can claim glory of the work she does for the Lord and how God uses her. She is a new breed that God keeps moulding with His own hands to take part in the leadership of the newly-emerging spiritual dispensation that promotes the Spirit-guided Apostolic and Prophetic movement. Being a renowned prophet herself, she believes that we are now in a season where every church should operate on a true prophetic anointing. In the early hours of every morning, God faithfully releases through her ‘A Gentle Whisper from Elohim’, which is a Prophetic Word that she distributes to her subscribers everyday.
Her mighty anointing in prophecy has since become a fountain to which God sends many pastors and leaders to receive spiritual counsel and edification. She is a trumpet that the Lord has put on top of the mountain to proclaim the new seasons and new times of God so that those who have ears can move with the new move of the Holy Spirit. Many continue to stand astound and dazed by the accuracy and precision that define her divine prophetic utterances. Her ministry has become a House of Glory for the Lord where people from all walks of life converge to be mightily blessed and transformed into living testimonies of the goodness of the Lord. Different churches invite her to minister prophetically to their leaders and the general congregation.
In addition to Sunday services, every Friday Apostle Praise ministers in a non-denominational whole night prayer service (known as Receivers' Ministry). She is an ardent preacher and teacher of the Word whom the Lord uses to unlock and decode the mysteries of the Word in a unique way that often leaves her audience completely nourished in spirit and standing in awe of the power of God in her life. She is a strong believer and a walking testimony of Matthew 6:33. As revealed to her, it is when we put God first that we begin to live a fulfilled life that is according to God’s purpose.
Like any other true leader in Christ, Praise has travelled on dry and rocky roads of challenges and pain to get to where God has put her today. She believes that willingness to follow Christ, obedience in the Word, perseverance and the fear of the Lord are the greatest keys given to us to unlock God’s anointing and power in our lives. Boldly and openly, she berates spiritual lukewarmness and coyness that threaten to take a peak in our churches today. She believes that this is one of the machinations of the enemy to still and blunt the anointing of God in many saints and to turn them into idle benchwarmers- rich with untapped power of God. Her Apostolic calling shakes to life the Joshuas and Timothys of this era to walk the walk of Christ with fulfilment that comes from operating in God’s purpose. A general approach would, however, define her calling as primarily focusing on raising up Spirit-led disciples and preserving uncompromised purity in the body of Christ. God uses Praise as a missile of truth that never eschews the issues of righteousness, which today, often come as subtle reticence from the pulpit. Endowed with a gift of discerning spirits, this mighty woman of God is also raised up as a warrior in the ministry of healing and deliverance.
Apostle Praise was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She is the first pastor in her family. She considers her mom and two sisters as great blessings in her life. Her father passed on some years ago, and is now with the Lord. Although unmarried and without biological children yet, Praise has become, through the hand of God, a mother of many nations to breastfeed many spiritual children. She is a Lawyer by profession, a Motivational speaker and also a fervent Activist in the protection of the legal rights of women and children.
